Monks
Class: Monk
Arch-type: Melee
Abbreviation: MNK
Specialty: Master of Unarmed Combat
Special Abilities: Stat/Proc Self Buff or Stat/AC Self Buff
Primary Stats: Agility & Dexterity
Description: Monks are dedicated to the unification of mind, body, and spirit.
They prefer to use their bodies as a primary weapon and to evade attacks than to be encumbered with heavy armor and weapons.
Strengths:
- High offensive damage output
- Ability to heal
- Dash for an emergency burst of running speed
Weaknesses:
- Can only be human
- Most offensive abilities can't be used with a weapon equipped
- Can't wear heavier armor like other melee classes
- Starting quests require a lot of running
Creation Tips: Monks are potentially the highest offensive classes of all
the melee classes. The downfall is that they aren't as defensive as the others. The trick is to balance out
the two. Also, you must learn how to switch weapons quickly to play a monk since you never know when you will
need that extra damage of your unarmed attacks to save you from death.
Monks are fun to play but they are dependent on groups more than some of the other classes.
Your primary stats are Stamina and Dexterity so make sure you pay close attention to these two.
Stamina will keep you alive and Dexterity is what makes helps make you a large damage dealer.
Also, pay attention to Strength and Agility. Strength for more damage and Agility to
help with your defensive abilities.
